Siena House

1e As baptized Christians, we are called to go out to the peripheries and encounter Christ.  One of those peripheries is our initiative in Coral Heights.  This is in response to our pastoral priority to connect our faith to the local community.  Our newly acquired property is located at 3718 139th Avenue North, Largo, FL 33771.

Siena House Update
In October 2017, volunteers from our parish and the Coral Heights Neighborhood Association began visiting residents of the Coral Heights neighborhood.  We went door-to-door to introduce ourselves and to acquaint the residents with Siena House.  To date, we have made contact wtih about half of the community.  By April 2018, we hope to have met members of every household in the neighborhood.

At each visit, we ask a few questions regarding their concerns and needs of their community and of their own families with which we might be able to assist.  There have been requests for prayer, food, clothing, tutoring, and activities for their children.  We already have provided assistance with several of these requests.

In December 2017, we held the Siena House Dedication, when we also dedicated playing fields located on nearby Duke Energy property, which are available for community use.

Please see the updated list of Siena House needs by clicking here:

Diocese of St. Petersburg will be Consecrated
to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on May 6!

Consecration Flyer med res

In an effort to lead all people closer to the Heart of Jesus, Bishop Gregory Parkes has announced that he will consecrate the parishes, schools, charities, ministries and all people who live in the five counties of the Diocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  To consecrate means to dedicate or set aside for a sacred purpose.  Mary's life was set aside for the sole purpose of serving Jesus.  By following her example, Catholics, too, can completely give themselves to Christ in a powerful way and give their lives to Him in service and love.
