Boys and girls, third grade and older who have received First Eucharist are invited to assist the priest during the celebration of Mass and for other liturgical celebrations and devotions. We are looking to recruit children and teenagers who desire to serve God, show attentiveness at Mass, and showcase a prayerful reverence for the Eucharist.
Servers need to be participating in some form of ongoing religious education. Demonstrate an understanding, appreciation, and reverence for the Liturgy. Servers sign a commitment form acknowledging their agreement to comply with the rules and guidelines set forth in the Altar Server Handbook.
Time Commitment: Servers are scheduled for at least two weekend Masses per month. Servers must arrive at least 20 minutes prior to their scheduled Mass and attend scheduled training.
Activities: Invited to a yearly Altar Server Appreciation Mass at the Cathedral with the Bishop. Servers are treated to a yearly social outing.
Help our Altar Servers as they serve the Lord at the altar. Our Washing Angels is a team of volunteers who rotate turns washing the altar server vestments. This is an easy and simple way to serve the parish community through your stewardship of time.
