Start date: January 1, 2022 - End date: March 30, 2022

Parish Lenten Mission in the Church

March 28, 29, and 30 2022

Seeing with the Eyes of Jesus, Responding with the Heart of Compassion

Guided by Sister Jean Laurich, SSJ

Recognizing that God meets us where we are, the movements of the Parish Mission will invite us to:

Listen for God’s voice within as we ponder Jesus’ inclusive vision of a love that unites and challenges us to move beyond ourselves to people living on the margins. Each day  / evening will build upon these three movements as we gather in contemplative prayer, reflection, sharing, story, and song. Jesus, along with Luke the evangelist, Pope Francis, our brother, and St. Catherine of Siena, our parish patroness will guide us along the way.

So bring a friend and join this mission journey this March. Know that God delights in your presence!

We are offering two time slots per day, participants are encouraged to attend one as both times will be the same presentation. The talks will differ by day.

Monday, March 28th

1:00 pm & 7:00 pm

Tuesday, March 29th

1:00 pm & 7:00 pm

Wednesday, March 30th

Come to the Lenten Mission and bring a donation for the Catholic Charities Easter Basket of Plenty Drive!

A donation bin will be available in the narthex of the church. Please bring a donation for one or all mission talks! What a great way to grow closer to the Lord while also helping Catholic Charities for their event for the youth at the San Jose Mission.

Catholic Charities coordinates the Easter Event on Holy Saturday, April 16, for the children of the San Jose Mission and San Juan Diego Mission. At this event, the children will receive Easter baskets, take pictures with the Easter Bunny, participate in an Easter Egg Hunt and enjoy goodies and treats. We ask you to donate the needed items to make Easter special for these immigrant and migrant children. All the children receive Easter Baskets: infants to 18 years of age.
