Priestly Ordination is August 15th, 2020.


Connor Penn will be ordained a priest by Bishop Gregory Parkes on Saturday, August 15th at 11:00 am, at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle. Due to spacing limitations resulting from the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Ordination Mass will be a ticketed event. Only priests and guests of the ordinandi will attend the Ordination Mass in person. 

All are invited to view the Mass via livestream at



Parishioners can celebrate the newly ordained Fr. Connor Penn by receiving a “first blessing” at the end of Mass at St. Catherine of Siena during the weekend of August 22nd— 23rd. For those not yet attending Mass in person, greet Fr. Penn during a special drive-thru on Sunday, August 23rd from 12:15 pm—1:00 pm, in which you may receive a blessing.

Fr. Jack, a priest of the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor, has been assigned to full-time residence at the St. Anthony Friary in St. Petersburg which will be effective upon Fr. Connor’s arrival.

Our faith community is truly grateful for Fr. Jack’s ministry at St. Catherine of Siena parish. More details will be announced soon about how our faith community will give a farewell to Fr. Jack in gratitude for the blessing that he has been to our parish.
