Dear parishioners of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church,
As Hurricane Idalia continues on its path, the Tampa Bay Area has been placed under a Hurricane Warning and a Storm Surge Warning. The storm is projected to make landfall early Wednesday morning as a major Category 3-4 Hurricane. Heavy wind, rain, and flooding is expected.
For the safety of all parishioners, volunteers, and staff, SCOS has put into effect the following measures to prepare for Tropical Storm Idalia:- There will be 7:00 am daily Mass on Tuesday, but no public Masses on Wednesday.
- All meetings, gatherings, and events at the Parish will be cancelled from Tuesday evening through Wednesday.
- The Parish Office will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Regular Parish activities will resume Thursday morning, unless notified otherwise.
In the meantime, we strongly urge everyone to prepare accordingly for the coming storm. Please refer to the resources below:
