What is RCIA?
The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process of faith formation for those adults who desire to fully enter into the Catholic faith community through the reception of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
This process is for un-baptized adults and for baptized Christians of other faiths. Catholics who were baptized but who have not received the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation are also invited to be part of this process.
This RCIA process is a journey of prayer and discussion. During this process, we reflect on the Scriptures, learn about the Sacraments, nourish our prayer life, and gather to celebrate the Sunday liturgy. The community of St. Catherine of Siena prays with you throughout your journey.
RCIA begins in late August with a morning retreat. Candidates are interviewed during the summer as they prepare for this process. Weekly gatherings begin in late August and continue through to early May.
Volunteer Position: As a member of St. Catherine of Siena parish, you can serve in opportunities of catechesis and hospitality.
