What is an Usher?

The ministry of the usher is one of welcome and fellowship.  An usher needs to assist people with seating, offertory collections and direct the parishioner’s movement during the communion rite.

Volunteers must be able to commit to a Mass that they will be able to attend each week and be at the parish about 45 minutes before the Mass starts.  Volunteers should have a warm, friendly personality and be able to stand for long periods of time.

Time Commitment
As pre-scheduled to Saturday/Sunday Mass, 1 ½ – 2 hours weekly

Training consists of reviewing the Role and Responsibility document with the Head Usher and practice in any areas the Head Usher feels necessary.
